Wen Ci (PhD candidate, Carleton University) began her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of New Brunswick in January 2013. She has abundant experience in conducting empirical microeconomics research by using various large data-sets such as NLSCY, SLID, and YITS. Her research interests focus on education economics, labour economics, immigration, and behavioral economics. In addition to her dissertation research, she has been involved in a variety of research projects during her PhD study, both as a co-investigator and research assistant. She has also taught intermediate microeconomics at Carleton University.
Wen is working with Michael Haan on the statistics research component of On the Move, where she is applying her knowledge and skills related to the investigation of statistical data to explore employment-related mobility patterns in Canada.
