Samantha Breslin is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology and affiliated with the Center for Social Data Science at the University of Copenhagen. Samantha completed her PhD in Anthropology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her research examined the “making” of gender and technological expertise through undergraduate computer science education in Singapore. Her research interests broadly include gender, technology studies, transnationalism and neoliberalism, and training and education.

During her time at Memorial, Samantha worked as a Research Assistant for the Newfoundland construction component of On the Move, under the supervision of Dr. Lachlan Barber and Dr. Barb Neis, looking at mobility in the construction sector and among construction workers in Newfoundland.
