Chad Doerksen completed his MA in the Department of Sociology, University of Alberta in 2015. His MA research explored public opinion regarding the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program in Canada. While at the University of Alberta, he also worked on a project that utilized the 2013 Alberta Survey (via the Population Research Lab @ UAlberta) to explore the perceptions of Albertan residents regarding the necessity/value/impact of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program in Alberta.
With the On the Move partnership Chad was an affiliated trainee and in 2014 also worked as a research assistant with the project on mobile work and social reproduction in Alberta, helping to conduct fieldwork on retail/service work in particular.
Chad is currently coordinator of research and analysis at the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training with the Government of British Columbia.
