Sylvie Gravel

Sylvie Gravel, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Organization and Human Resources at l’Université de Québec à Montréal (UQAM), where she is director of the Health and Society PhD program. She is a member of UQAM’s l’Institut Santé et Société and is affiliated with the Economic and Labour Market Integration branch of the research consortium Quebec Metropolis Centre – Immigration and Metropolis (QMC-IM), focusing on Health and Social Services and on Social Inequalities in Health. She also has twenty years of experience working with the Public Health Department of Montreal, working in a team to ensure the cultural adaptation of public services to immigrant populations. Her research focuses on occupational health and safety of migrant workers and diversity.

As a co-investigator with On the Move Sylvie will be working in Quebec with the policy research component.
