Paul Foley

pfoley

Paul Foley is an Assistant Professor in the Environmental Policy Institute at Memorial University’s Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. He received a PhD in Political Science from York University after receiving an MA in International Development Studies from Dalhousie University and a BA (Hons) in History from Memorial University. Paul’s doctoral research focused on transnational environmental certification and eco-labeling in the fisheries sector. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, with funding from the NSERC Canadian Fisheries Research Network and Memorial University’s Leslie Harris Centre of Regional Policy and Development, he conducted research on fisheries policy and regional development in Newfoundland and Labrador’s shrimp fisheries.

As a co-investigator with the On the Move Partnership, Paul will be working on the Newfoundland field research component. He is the project leader on the fisheries sector sub-project.
